Founder and CTO

Yuval Kapellner Rabinovitz is a Co-Founder of EKB Technologies Ltd and is Chief Technology Officer.

Prior to founding EKB Technologies Ltd in 2006, Yuval Kapellner Rabinovitz Co-Founded Explay Ltd in 2001 and served as the R&D Senior Engineer. Explay Ltd is a high-tech company that created the World’s 1st nano/micro projector and achieved a breakthrough by creating a new a field in the projection industry that continues to bring many new emerging branches such as Pico and advancements in 3D capabilities among many more opportunities producing multi-billion dollars of annual revenue projections in several markets today.

Yuval Kapellner Rabinovitz is one of five grandfathers who invented the World’s 1st nano/micro projector as named in the original patent and design. With his vast expertise in the many facets of high technology, Yuval Kapellner Rabinovitz is the “brainchild” behind the World’s first nano/micro projector concept and development which opened the doors of Explay Ltd in 2001. His extensive research and development in various special light sources and optics included non-linear, diffractive, and nano structures fabrication, while also focusing in miniature optical architecture implementations, delicate optical measurements, and performance analysis which brought the World’s 1st nano/micro projector to life, before his decision to open his second company named EKB Technologies Ltd in 2006. Yuval Kapellner Rabinovitz negotiated several key venture capital investments and served as an active member in the Board of Directors of Explay.

Yuval Kapellner Rabinovitz intensive research and development of nano/micro projection has brought significant rewards and opportunities in the industry which has quickly spread in several markets from DLP® to 3D imaging, measurement, and many others in between. Yuval holds several patents in the field of electro-optics and special micro optical structures fabrication and has authored academic papers in the fields of virtual display and micro projection and lasers.

Yuval Kapellner Rabinovitz is a DLP® Program Committee Member of SPIE (Society of Photographic Instrumentation Engineers): SPIE is company founded in 1955. SPIE is a not-for-profit international professional society for optics and photonics technology. It organizes technical conferences, trade exhibitions, and continuing education programs for researchers and developers in the light-based fields of physics: optics, photonics, and imaging engineering. It is most known for Photonics West, held in San Francisco, USA.

The society publishes peer-reviewed scientific journals, conference proceedings, monographs, tutorial texts, field guides, and reference volumes in print and online. In 2012, the society provided $3.3 million in support of optics education and outreach programs around the World. (SOURCE: Read more https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SPIE)
